Job Title: Café & Playground Team Member

Job Description:

We are looking for a friendly, responsible, and energetic team member to join our Abracadabra staff! This role involves overseeing the daily operations of our indoor café and playground, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for families with young children. You will be the face of Abracadabra, delivering excellent customer service while managing check-ins, preparing snacks and beverages, and helping with birthday parties and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ⁠Welcome guests and assist with check-ins at the front desk.
  • ⁠Operate the POS system for product and café sales.
  • ⁠Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the café and playground areas.
  • ⁠Prepare and serve coffee, drinks, and snacks according to our quality standards.
  • ⁠Keep the playground tidy, organized, and safe for children.
  • ⁠Provide outstanding customer service at all times.
  • ⁠Assist with birthday parties and special events, including setup, decorating, food prep, and supporting hosts during the event.
  • ⁠Restock supplies and notify management of inventory needs.
  • ⁠Follow all health and safety guidelines.
  • ⁠Support the overall positive environment and team spirit of Abracadabra.

Job Title: Assistant Manager

Job Description:

Abracadabra is seeking a proactive, organized, and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to help oversee the daily operations of our indoor playground and café. This individual will work closely with the General Manager and ownership team to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning, maintain a safe and welcoming environment, and support the staff in delivering exceptional service to families with young children.
The ideal candidate is a natural leader, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating positive experiences for both guests and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ⁠Support the General Manager in supervising staff and ensuring daily tasks are completed efficiently
  • ⁠Help train and guide team members in customer service, safety, cleanliness, and café operations
  • ⁠Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and ensuring adequate staffing levels
  • ⁠Handle customer concerns or issues professionally and promptly
  • ⁠Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the café and playground areas
  • ⁠Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • ⁠Support café operations, including preparing drinks, snacks, and maintaining inventory
  • ⁠Assist with planning, setup, and coordination of birthday parties and events
  • ⁠Manage supply orders and restocking needs
  • ⁠Monitor facility condition and report maintenance needs
  • ⁠Serve as a key point of contact when the Manager is off-site or unavailable

Requirements:

  • ⁠Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial support role (hospitality, retail, or family entertainment preferred)
  • ⁠Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • ⁠Customer-first mindset with a friendly and professional attitude
  • ⁠Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
